Proverbs 18:11, The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit. The bible tells us in Proverbs 23:4, Labor not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Poor Richards Almanac: He does not possess wealth; it possesses him. He who multiplies Riches, multiplies Cares. If your Riches are yours, why don't you take them with you to t'other World? Many a man would have been worse if his estate had been better. Albert Einstein said that Possessions are a chain around the leg. William Jennings Bryan said "No one can earn a million dollars honestly. George Washington said, "It is not a custom with me to keep money to look at. Wealth: A cunning device of Fate whereby men are made captive, and burdened with responsibilities from which only Death can file their fetters. |
