PROVERB PRACTICALS

Proverbs 21:31,  The horse is prepared against the day of battle, but safety is of the Lord.

Related verses: Psalm 33:17,  An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

God gives us gifts to fight battles.

He gives us sufficient tools to provide for the fight.

The horse is a ready made implement of war.

He has strong legs, he has speed, he has endurance, it is fearful to face a warrior on a horse, the horse gives protection and confidence to a warrior.

The horse is prepared by his creator to do the tasks that his creator calls upon him to do. He is prepared.

He is well prepared and we ought not to neglect using the gifts of God for the battles we face.

If he gives us a horse we ought to use the horse and thank the Lord for it.

But we ought not to trust in the gift for safety, we ought not to trust in the horse for safety. Our ultimate trust is in the one who made the horse.

The horse will be a help under the mighty hand of God, but for one to trust a horse without trusting that mighty hand is vain.
